Tried an Epiphone Riviera P93 today

Has anyone tried these? There was a wine red Riviera with 3 P90 (?) single coils and a bigsby. This was MIC. This EASILY kept up with the Gibson Les Paul Traditional I tried months earlier in terms of feel, sound, action, etc. Neck was very comfortable, fret ends were good, action was adjusted excellent. The electronics were not up to par though and the pots and input jack were in need of a good tightening. The pots just felt kind of cheap.

I reluctantly tried it as it was the ONLY p90 equipped guitar in the whole store. Let me say if I had the asking price of just under 5 bills I would be enjoying a NGD.

Haven't tried one, but I would love to get my hands on one. Throw a roller bridge in there, Jonesys wiring, and I would be good to go.

Havn't got to touch one yet but I really want one. I hate the gold hardware though so I would likely work toward swapping it out. It appears in all the pictures I have seen to have an abr-1 rather than the nashville style epi bridges? Can anyone comment on that?

Re: Tried an Epiphone Riviera P93 today

I played one back in the early part of Summer '10
it was a beautiful playing and sounding guitar
harking me to buy her
but no, it wasn't meant to be...
a different time and place maybe...
if our eyes may meet again sometime in the future
I may listen to her soulful whispers once again.
The delicate lady in Burgundy
It could have been love..
somehow my heart and mind feel captured
I had to turn away and go.
go...
'How are you today, sir?'-it appears someone was asking-but I wasn't sure..
with welling eyes I smile, nod
and head for the door.
I look back and observe a woman wiping her eyes and pointing
and a man consoles her at the glass door.
"He Walked Away From Love!"..she said
Time will heal the wounds

Is the wiring on a semi-hollow replaced through the f-holes? I guess you'd wire the whole harness up, feed it inside and then weedle everything into place. That'd need patience that I don't think I have...
