Guys, I can't decide what I want. Does anyone have good pictures of both? Thanks.

I would want to see them both before I chose. All flames are different as well as quilts.

Forgive my ignorance, but what is quilt?

Re: Trans Blue-Flamed or Quilted?

It's a different figuring of maple. When the top looks 'stripey', it's flamed maple. When it looks 'kind of like boiling water', it's quilted maple. I'll try to find some pics.

***EDIT***
Found some pics! Here's a quilt-top:

...And here's a flame-top:

Flame(left) and Quilt(right).

These are custom Robin Avalon guitars that I had made.

I want to punch you in the mouth for rubbing it in. You have them, I don't. I'm so jealous!

Bring it.

I had the one on the right made for myself, the one on the left for a customer. I just sold mine because I have this coming......

Mmmh... I love my flame trans Blue, but I must admit those quilted blues look nice, very water-ish look.

The guy that worked at the Custom Shop that I bought this from also had one Identical to this but blue. I'm not a blue guitar guy myself but I gotta tell you, that blue flame top was amazing.
