Finally got my epi back!

It's Fixed
It's had a broken nut since about late may and after all summer of looking and trying to get it fixed I finally got it back
I know you guys like pictures but theres really no pictures

Only thing I really can do is show the nut spacing
The nut I'm holding is the orginal stock nut the newer nut looks like it's spaced more with the gibson style (Not well knowledged on that so correct me)

Now its time for setting up

It's always exciting when you get your guitar back from the luthier.

Re: Finally got my epi back!

Looking at the nut and string spacing it sure looks as if those strings are ever so close to the edge. I have an SX Deimos Gold Top with spacing just like your new nut and it drives me crazy trying keep the strings from dropping over the side or hitting my palm while playing. But my Epi has a 43mm nut with closer spacing and it is easier to handle. You stated that the wider spacing was like a Gibson. Is there a reason for the wide spacing and is it suppose to be better? If so maybe I just need to work with mine to get use to it. The Deimos is actually a nicer instrument than my Epi but I play the Epi much more because of this spacing. (By the way, I'm left so replacing with a precut nut is not as easy as a righty.)

Absolutely!
My experience:
year 1: "ho shit! that thing makes me happy"
year 2: "damn switch, pickup's and the fu*king bridge"
year 3: "start to pray, damn guitar of unrecognizable wood: when buy the Gibson, I crashed into a wall"

Seriously: I had a great time with my Epi, beyond all their problems
