Pics of my modified Custom

Well I've just put some new knobs on my ever evolving Epi Custom. Seeing as I know how much we like pics on this forum and the fact that it was sunny when I got home from work I decided to do a few photo's.

Re: Pics of my modified Custom

Thats a really nice Epi Eggy. How long have you been working on it or how long has it taken you to wear the finish of the neck?! What kind of Mods have you done on her? Cool vids BTW.

Re: Pics of my modified Custom

Cheers!
There's some info about what's been done so far (minus new knobs) here - http://www.mylespaul.com/forums/epip...-love-her.html

The next mods on the list are some new (old style) inlays. I'm on the look out for some aged (slightly yellowed) faux M.O.P. block inlays to swap with these stock ones. I'm also after a custom TRC with my name on it . I'm going to age the pickup rings too.

Some people will think I'm stupid to spend so much time modding an Epiphone but this is without doubt a brilliant guitar and a keeper for sure. It's even got the rare Epiphone long neck tenon.

Looks great Eggy

Weird, your pickup rings sit in the body?

Have you done any mods on the electronics? pick ups, caps, pots, 50's wiring, etc?

Re: Pics of my modified Custom

It's had a complete re-wire because I wasn't happy with the old Epi wiring. This is my "Full on Rock" guitar so it's equipped with very powerful 13k pickups and has both tone pots disabled. I'm a long standing fan of Whitesnake so it's pretty much my homage to John Sykes without completely copying his guitar.

I'm also a Huge Kossoff fan so my next Epi is going to get quality pickups and 50 wiring (with PG mod) but that's a thread yet to be written

Re: Pics of my modified Custom

Awesome guitar. I'm debating if I want to get an Epiphone Les Paul Custom (Ebony) or another Standard (but in honey burst).

Everyone should own at least one black guitar.

It's a Honey Burst or a Trans amber that I'm thinking about for my next project.

Yeah, I really like the Honey burst but at the same time I really like the black customs.
