But the seller's name is "jonson"

There are various different ads (from different sellers), that use the EXACT same descriptions for different models.

That is an American name right?

and he has a feedback as a seller from johnny_30...who has left him feedback!!!

Sounds just fine to me!

Re: The Ebay "Fraudulant" Listing Thread!

If you look at all of his feedback it looks like it's all as a buyer, not a seller. Also a red flag to look for when buying anything up there. Sadly looks like 2 folks got screwed on those 2 guitars. Maybe they can make them into clocks...

Yeah there's something hinky about his deals. Looking at the completed auctions and his feedback...something doesn't smell right.

Edit: Now all of his listings have disappeared.

I reported him as "report member".

His feedback was reciprocal with another scammer.

Some of us have the power...I am one of those people.

If you see a fake send it my way...I am pretty good with Gibsons...don't give a crap about Epis... but if I report it, it will get shut down. I won't report unless I am convinced but I can do as I say.

This one looks a bit suspect. Any thoughts? The plastics look cheap, and I thought that the 2006 GTs were light back? Also, is it me, or does the headstock look a little “odd?”

Nope, it's still there. Sometimes full links don't work but if you search the item id (150678564423) it shows up.

Re: The Ebay "Fraudulant" Listing Thread!

As for me I think I am finish with evilbay, anyway as a seller. i put a set of Seymour Duncan 59s on there for 90 bucks. They sold in about 40 minutes fast, I was happy. Ship them out next day, buyer got them in 4 days.2 to 3 weeks went buy I had to call them ask them to release my money. Then they said it would take another 4 days fo get into my bank account. I've had nothing but good ratings from people. I went to use UPS tru PayPal UPS wanted my card number where I lived at before I moved here a bunch of B.S.. I told them when I go to my local UPS on my own they don't ask all then questions. I told them all they needed to know was the address it was being sent from and the address it was being sent to. I think I would rather deal with Craigslist. Ebay is starting to really suck in my opinion. I've been a member 2yrs very good standing. At least the Post office don't leave $2000.00 dollar guitars leaning on the stairs if your not home for someone to steal. I deal with the post office when they brought my last guitar they left a card when I wasn't home where to pick it up. Sorry had to get it of my chest.

Weird. Now, I'm not a seller but I didn't realize that Paypal would hold money like that. Aren't you supposed to wait until the $ are in your account before shipping? I thought that is how it all worked, but I am speaking from ignorance. Is this sort of thing normal?

It's really simple: Never ship anything until you are notified that you have been paid. It doesn't matter if the auction ended, wait until that person pays you.

Then keep in mind they are paying to your Paypal account, not your bank account. Transferring money from your Paypal account to your bank account always takes 3-4 days. It's the same as if you are depositing a check - the money's not really available to be withdrawn until it has cleared all the internal steps and checks.

As far as shipping goes, you can use anything you want. If you got a problem with UPS then don't use them.

I don't think there is any question this guitar is completely fake. It currently has one bid on it, so there is at least one person out there that either doesn't know or doesn't care.
