Re: What is this?

I notice he conveniently leaves the top of the headstock out of the picture.

Ask for more pics, a serial #, etc. I've seen LP bodies on basses, never one like this.

Re: What is this?

I sent him a note saying I didn't think it was a real Gibson and he replied:

"please do not message me about stupid shit like that,i have the original papers, its a VERY rare bass and i would appriciate it if you would not message me unless you have a good question"

Re: What is this?

I sent the seller this question: Can you post a clearly focused photo of the entire headstock?
We will see if he replies.

Re: What is this?

I sent him a few questions earlier and this is his response.
I think he is either touched in the head or just one of millions
of idiots that hope can find another fellow idiot to buy their "rare"
piece o' itshay.

1. What is the serial number?
2. What model do you claim it is?
3.Why one fuzzy photo that leaves out the headstock?
4.Anyone ever tell you a real Gibson NEVER has
three screws holding down the truss rod cover only two?

"actually i added that because i liked the color, just like i liked the golden nobs and i wanted to paint the pickups tan to match
its not the original paint either, its not even the original neck, its all just cusomized the way i wanted it"

The guitar may be "rare" but the seller is "well done".

Re: What is this?

Calling eBayer "fakegibson"! You're bidding skills are needed.

Re: What is this?

The old quote erroneously attributed to P.T. Barnum is appropriate here: "There's a sucker born every minute!"
