Well he said best offer. Id either offer less or offer something like an agile les paul or something. I would think that a good deal for you and he would get what he wanted... a nice electric. I think that would make a great project to reburst. I think for another 200.00 or even alot less if you are resourceful, you could refinish, apply a new waterslide, and at least get the hardware closer to original. I kind of wish I was the one to do it...

I'd be tempted. Prices are a bit skewed in Britain because that's the sort of thing you'd see on ebay starting at 2000 because it's old and therefore a great guitar, so it seems quite cheap to me. In other words, don't take my advice
