Re: Are these real '59 knobs???
I thought originals were more rounded on the top rim. Those don't look like other vintage knobs. Me thinks they are clone parts of some sort, nice but I dunno. Maybe there were some old 50's knobs that weren't as rounded on the top edges???

Re: Are these real '59 knobs???
Wow, I thought these things would have at least some carbon dating data to back up the claim. Guess not, some 7 bidders are just in the know by seeing them.

Re: Are these real '59 knobs???
I was thinking of putting down a bid they look really good. I'm kinda of skeptical cuz there's no oxidation on the bottom.

Well if they are fake that's gonna be a very different number! I was trying to see what you guys think. Do you think they are legit?

I do not own a set of this type from the fifties. $350 sounds about right, even maybe a bit more, maybe a bit less...I'm in the hunt but won't be bidding that high. |

Re: Are these real '59 knobs???
I HATE when an item starts at a very very low price and then with more than a few hours left people are bidding anything on it at all. I saw a guitar starting at $1 with 6 days on it, somebody bid 100 and then the next a-hole bid another 100, I don't understand why people do that!

For example... I have a bid on an item, right now,DAYS before it closes. If no one else has a serious interest in it,then I will win it at a reasonable price. |
