PayPal was actually my pal............
Some might remember "one" of my ebay adventures, when the guy tried the old insurance scam on me. I need to write a book, "Jomo's misadventures, ebay edition". Anyway, in a nut shell, dude emails me 9 days after receiving the guitar. He tells me the neck is cracked, but he loves the guitar so he wants to KEEP it AND get the insurance, REALLY?? I filed the claim with UPS, I then learn that he lives in Mexico and bought it through his Aunt's ebay account, and he supposedly flew home to Mexico with the "broken" guitar. Long story short, he filed a claim with PayPal and tried to get his money back and keep the guitar. I called PayPal and raised 10 kinds of hell and replied to the "claim" with what really happened. I was surprised this morning to get an email from PayPal saying that they decided in my favor and returned the money to my account. It does make me wonder though how easily an honest person could get screwed by PayPal or ebay. I am now waiting to get my bad feedback from him on ebay. I did report the incident so they know about it but they have not replied. I hope that I can get it removed once he decides to do it.

dude, I just opened a dispute. fedex left some software for me, it wasnt a ton of money but hey 150 bucks is now missing. Shipper sent it ground, no signature required. Lets see what happens.

Y'all ebayers are a lot more trusting than me. It will be a cold day in hell when I give a third party access to and control over my bank account. Maybe I'm missing out on some bargains, but no thanks.
