2006 Historic sold as 1996??

1996 Gibson Custom Shop MURPHY AGED 1957 Les Paul Custom Black Beauty Reissue! | eBay

all features except for the COA looks like 2006 to me. the tags even has the newer Gibson Custom logo on it which didn't exist in 1996. i think the seller somehow got hold of a blank older COA or something...

It is possible to get a retroactive COA...or it was anyway. I have seen a '96 before with a 2000 COA. Not sure about the tags though.

Murphy wasn't even aging guitars for Gibson untill 1999.
