Too Beautiful to Play?

This guitar is a work of art. Called the Pricess Isabella Jazz guiter, it was made by Jens Ritter.

Jens Ritter Princess Isabella 'Jazz' Guitar | eBay

Who cares what it sounds like? Some millionaire will just buy it for his oceanfront mansion, to go with his white leather sofa.

That seems like a terrible place to put the output jack.

Just noticed your sig, Mother Love Bone rock. I'd rate Andrew Wood as one of the best singers around back in the day.

Ive played the Issabellas before and know Jens personally. Really amazing guitar that is easy to appreciate in person. Also well beyond my price range.

Re: Too Beautiful to Play?

I think it is stunning. It is probably a very smooth playing guitar, not the kind where you do Townshend windmills, but rather sit in a chair and place it on your knee.

I think it's beautiful! It kinda looks to me like a big white breath mint...after you've been sucking on it for a while, and knocked off all the sharp corners.

No guitar is too beautiful, or too ugly, to play.

Re: Too Beautiful to Play?

I like it, but as other's have said, it'd be very cool in black.
It'd be a shame if someone buys that to let sit or hang and collect dust. It should be played. I have a feeling it sounds sweet and sexy as hell.
It's sad that some can't appreciate a guitar as a work of design and the craftsmanship that goes into them.
It's not just LPs that blow me away, it's all well crafted guitars. I've been to a few luthier shows and the level of craftsmanship and the love of guitars that these luthiers put into their work is amazing.

That's what I'm thinking. I'm not really big on suffering inconvenience for the sake of appearance, although I've never played a guitar with the jack in back.

Thump - you're right. And I think there's a reason neither one of us has played a guitar with the jack in the back, its a poor design and would suck.
