Looking for aged "clone" Junior parts

Anyone any ideas where I might find the following parts for an LP Junior type guitar (circa 1956)? I'm looking for Vintage Clone accuracy, but they seem to have discontinued quite a few parts now.

3 a side white button tuners
Wrap around bridge, studs and bushings
Pick guard
Control cover
Jack plate
Dog ear pup cover

Thanks

Liam

They have some of what you want here:

Gibson Parts For Sale

OF course it's original stuff, but some of it isn't insanely priced. Some is though!

I hope this might have helped...

Re: Looking for aged "clone" Junior parts

Thanks Eddie, that's very interesting, appreciate the link.

The tuners look great, but what if I'm depriving a real 50s LP Junior of correct parts? Would prefer to be using non-genuine parts where possible.

Real amber switch tips are a bargain! I guess if you can afford the 50s LP it doesn't seem so bad...

Ah, I wasn't sure if yours was an original or not! Still fun to look at that stuff and the prices of plastic!

Re: Looking for aged "clone" Junior parts

Thanks Eddie, it's definitely a nice site to go window shopping at. What I'm looking for is more like the parts that DMC and Vintage Clone make for the Historic reissues. Quite surprised at the lack of parts out there for Juniors and specials.

Re: Looking for aged "clone" Junior parts

You won't find a more accurate replica dog ear cover than the stock Historic RI cover. It's made from the exact same mold that the original 1950's covers were made from. I've compared underside of the cover from my 2003 '57 Junior to the cover on my original 1957 Junior and they both have the exact same marks on the tool surface, right down to the scribe lines used by the toolmaker to locate the holes as well as random scratches.

Re: Looking for aged "clone" Junior parts

Thanks for that Dan-O. I'm guessing this is going to look pretty familiar to you. I thought just on the off-chance that all the dogear covers are the same I'd just buy an ordinary Gibson USA one from Guitar & Bass Parts Resource Just spot on, but wouldn't have known without your photo.

Came in at $13.49, which I was very happy with. Also bought a Gotoh lightweight bridge/tailpiece from them. I'm pleased to note it measures up incredibly close to a real 50s Gibson wraparound, and was only $45.00 including stainless steel studs and bushings. Only thing is that the grub-screws for intonation setting are the wrong color and thread size, so might do some drilling and tapping.

I found this bunch - Fake58 - via a thread on this forum somewhere, and was able to order a set of aged 3-on-a-strip Klusons, complete with bushings. £45 (that's $90) for the set, but it can be hard to get hold of the bushings, so I'll live with the cost. Not here yet, but I'll post when I've got some pictures. I also got some correct pickguard screws and strap buttons while I was there.

Things on the list that I've not been able to find are the plastics. Need authentic looking pickguard, truss rod cover, control cover and jack plate, and a few more correct looking screws. Any help appreciated.

I have a set original nickel studs out of a 59 melody maker.
