A little project
Today I got started thinking that I could create a CNC code to mill out different parts of a Les Paul. This would allow people with not as good wood working skills to create some beautiful Les Paul guitars. I was planning on making the mahogany body, CARVED maple cap, and possibly the neck.
Now the questions. Would anybody actually want to use these? Would the cost of getting it CNC'd be cost effective? If I wanted to could I sell these codes or is there some protection over it? Maybe replace where the serial number goes with customers name to prevent resell? And most of all, is this even logical? Or has it been done with a Les Paul already? Couldn't find anything in Google. Would like to hear back from some people. |

Re: A little project
I can see where you are coming from, and it sounds like a good idea. But, if I were doing an LP build, I would take pride in knowing that I made all of the parts by hand.
It would be an interesting experiment to try though.
