LP DC standard-anybody add tone and volume pots? I want 2 tone and 2 volume knobs.

I have for some unknown reason been very attracted to double cuts and I prefer playing them over standard and custom les pauls.

The one thing that does bug me about the double cut standards, studios and pros is the lack of a standard les paul control cavity.

I have seen a couple of Double cuts that had an additional tone or volume knob added, but I have never seen one wired up like a les paul standard or custom.

I realize that there probably isn't enough room in the control cavity to do what I want without additional routing ect..

I just wondered if anybody out there has done this or had it done?

What you need are stacked pots...individual volume and tone and no messy routing to ruin your guitar or day for that matter. Not many companies use them, but a good recent example would be some of the Danelectro reissues from about nine years ago. I am sure Allparts or WD or Stew-mac would have them.
