TonePros Kluson tuners

Anyone tried these??
Pros and cons please..

I used to own an '85 Cherry burst and my only complaint about the guitar was the tuners. They seemed sloppy and I hated them but, the tonepros are using sealed technoligy.
Whatcha' think??

Re: TonePros Kluson tuners

I have gold a set on a custom that I built and they are very good. I also have a set of aged ones from RS with press in bushings for a customers guitar and they are very nice with no slop.
Tuners start to show their true colors after a few years, unless they are junk to begin with.

Re: TonePros Kluson tuners

I have them on my Les Paul (the locking ones that is). Not a bad word about them.

Re: TonePros Kluson tuners

I bought a set for my Bulldog build. It's not put together yet but they feel tight and there's no play with the press in bushings. I may get a second set for my Std which has aftermarket keystones that are sloppy, loose and cheap. The Tonepros have longer shafts so you may need extra wraps to bring the pressure down on your nut (depending on how it's cut I suppose).

Re: TonePros Kluson tuners

I have them on my 73' Deluxe. When I had my luthier install them he commented how much better they were than any of the Gibson or Grover style tuners. I like them quite a bit, hod tune awesome.

Re: TonePros Kluson tuners

I have been stocking them since they came out, and actually worked with Dwight on teh color of the tips BEFORE they came out.

Great parts, I use them on most of my guitars.

Re: TonePros Kluson tuners

Very cool!! I had my eyes on a set of TPK33's but, my Wife went a got me a set of Kluson single line double ring with pearl as an early X-mass gift.

Gonna give them a try but if they suck, they're headed right to ebay and I'm headed straight for the TonePros without a doubt.

It's great when every review is a good one. It almost makes me wish she hadn't bought the Klusons but, we'll see if they've gotten better since the last time I owned them.
Thanks guys, you've been a wealth of usefull info.

Re: TonePros Kluson tuners

I have these on my 2005 V, and they make the stock Gibson tuners look like azz incomparison. These are awesome tuners.
