Re: blasphemy, im going to swirl paint the 56 GT RI
here are a couple pics... i came home and untapped everything this morning and reassembled it... still no strings... i have none here so i have to wait till becky can take me to the music store to buy some lol...
ill take better pics once its stringed up =D im pretty happy with the outcome =) i used several layers of matte enamel clear coat over the paint job, then finalized it with a couple coats of mcguires wax ![]()

Re: blasphemy, im going to swirl paint the 56 GT RI
Hey bling, that looks nice.
Are you doing swirls by putting the guitar in water with paint? (don't cry because of putting the gear in water - that method is complicated. I know) Or with the spray gun?

Re: blasphemy, im going to swirl paint the 56 GT RI
the paint it self was water based acrylics thinned with water.. before painting it the top was shot with wood primer (after being stripped of course) when the paint job was dry i applied several coats of enamel matte clear coat, finnished up with a couple coats of mcguires car wax... its the first guitar ive ever painted but knock on wood, it looks like the paint job is pretty sturdy and will last a long time

That looks cool, 'Bling. Congrats on the courage to do it, too. Btw, where DO you get those freaky vids? Some of 'em are so mesmerizing I sit here for an hour before I come out of my trance...
