68 gold top conversion

here is a GT that was converted. the top turned out to be bookmatched but with very little figure. I like it though.

I like it too, but, with the value of 68 GTs, I question why the guy wanted it converted?

Th neck was gone and the soapbar routes were chiseled out for HB. It was a mess. the finish was scraped off, and it was finished in varathane with a brush. I wish I had before pics
