Bought the book as a reference and found it invaluable

Great books. They were my spring-boards.

Re: Books for the aspiring guitar tech

Gentlemen,

Thanks for your input. I am about to make a purchase. Which one is moderately fool proof, or are they equally as good?

Re: Books for the aspiring guitar tech

Dan's 'Repair Guide' is much more in depth, covers more topics, than 'How to make your electric guitar play great', but the second book is perfect for setup tips etc.

If you just want one for now, I'd suggest the Repair Guide.
