Looking for black toggle switch nut

Has anyone ever seen one of these deep threaded toggle switch nuts in black? I've been looking but haven't had any luck finding one. I don't want to paint one black. I may end up looking for a completely black switch assembly and just use the nut from that, but I'm not sure I want to spend $25 just for the nut.

I may have to paint it black but I'm not sure it will stick.

Heat it up till it's glowing red and drop it in old motor oil... it should turn black... unless it's brass.

I would never have thought of that, but I LIKE it! I have a couple of the nuts and they're nickel. I'll have to find some way to heat it up as I don't have a torch.

Never tried that myself... but you can get a torch+bottle for cheap at Sears or some place, like 10-15 bucks or so.

Black paint should stick decently as long as you sand the top of the nut really rough.
