Wiring question....slide switch.

I'm going to be converting my Melody Maker SG into a 2 pickup guitar (hopefully). And in order to keep it more MM-esque I want to use a 3-way slide instead of a toggle. I'll me using CTS mini pots so that I can keep all 4 knobs on the pickguard. The slide switch is also a crammed space issue also. So help me out here, how should I wire this up for neck-both-bridge operation? Thanks fellas!

Re: Wiring question....slide switch.

It is a dp3t switch, the 8 lugs is what had me scratching my head.

yeah.. but the six lug version with the internal swithching like i posted is what you need.. mouser has ONE listed, but, i'm not sure of the internal workings...

might have to go with a three position toggle with workings like i posted.

the 8 prong ones are used on Mustangs for switching and phasing, two of them in conjunction, and wiring it is a whores nightmare. if you got room for two of those, you can do a mustang circuit.

Re: Wiring question....slide switch.

I think you can do it like this:

- Connect A1 to B1

- Connect the jack / output to A2 and B4

- Connect one pickup to A3 and B3

- Connect other pickup to B2
