Changed Pickup Rings, Neck isn't laying right
So last night I switched back to my original rings, historic rings (I think they were historic, they were twice as thick) were looking a little thick to me. Now, my neck pickup is sort of leaning back toward the bridge. The bridge pickup looks even. Full disclosure: my springs look like they've seen better days.
Anyone else experience this when swapping rings and/or pickups?

There is another trick that involves twisting the pickup legs, but this one of the screw is better |

This may seem like a silly question, but are you sure that you have the neck pup ring facing in the correct direction? I can't tell since you didn't provide a side shot.

Have you tried pushing down on the top coil ?
![]() I had this kind of problem once when I put covers on my pickups, and they alighed with the route rather than sitting flush with the top... but I don't know if that helps...

Re: Changed Pickup Rings, Neck isn't laying right
It was much worse until I loosened everything up, removed the ring with the pickup on it and pressed down. I am not sure why. The shorter end of the ring is toward the neck.
