Clown-burst Greco LP Custom - refinish suggestions?
I've got a '77 clownburst Greco LP Custom that sounds and plays GREAT, but just looks dumb with that finish. It's still nice looking, but not fall down beautiful.
so I've decided to refinish it. I like a tobacco burst, or natural finish .. but if there's something rare that looks good, I would love that too. Extra points for extra rare and purdy Suggestions?

Re: Clown-burst Greco LP Custom - refinish suggestions?
Depends on what sort of music you play. I tend to "design" my guitars like that. Would feel uncomfortable to play blues on a purple soloist.
And it would feel akward to play hair metal on a wine red Les Paul custom. To me, that is. I say If you want to go rare and play 80s Hard Rock, why not have it painted in a transparent, dark purple. Not for everyone, but well executed it could be an eye catcher. |

Dog hair finish?
Transblack? I have a natural Les Paul Tokai and thinking about doing her up in a dark burst...or an amber tint.
