Cavity Cover Help

hi, soon i am going to be buying a Les Paul Standard and have ben looking for custom covers for the back. I am trying to get hold of a silver one or silver plated but cant seem to find one anywhere, is this because it will add to much weight ? or change the tone of the Guitar ? The reason i want a silver cover is because i want to get it engraved and personalise it to me, the main reason is because my grandmother has just passed away and i want to engrave something to do with her. Anyways i have found an aluminium one that are avaliable and presumably someone would be able to engrave on that, but just wondering if anybody knew a website or anybody that either supplied them or could do custom engraving. I would be after the switch control cover, toggle switch cover and also a truss rod, any help would be appreciated, thanks
