Surf Music + Ibanez = ???
I'm itching to build a guitar from scratch, and I decided the first build I want to do is a RG style guitar loaded with single coils for surf and all other forms of rock that isn't heavy metal...
Specs: Ash Body 22 frets noiseless single coils One piece Maple Neck Dark scarlet red finish (PRS kind of stain) Non Locking trem with a BIG sustain block So... first question is who builds custom RG bodies?

Re: Surf Music + Ibanez = ???
Paul Gilbert loves some single coils, and I do too. No better combination of smoothness and twang.. I say go for it, an SSS RG would be bad ass

Re: Surf Music + Ibanez = ???
That I want... but even for me, that's too extreme... and I want the bolt on neck (for that strat tone fool!)
The closest thing Ibanez as is a Andy Timmons, but even then that is WAY out of my budget... I can build my guitar cheaper than that.

Re: Surf Music + Ibanez = ???
So build your guitar, bro. Hell, just buy a fixed bridge RG with a pickguard, and have an SSS pickguard made. If you're just going for cheap, that would keep you well under $500.
