Neal Schon Signature LP. Only about 60 or so made, and they sold for about $12,000. Sold out overnight. I'd love to have one.

There was a Les Paul with M3 electronics that had a single in the middle.

Just released in the last week or so. I'm on the fence on this one. And greg i think the guitar you were talking about was a les paul lite M3?

Ok so there´s a Les Paul with a Floyd, my question is, "What happens to the superior sustain" of the Les Paul when equipping it with a Floyd Rose bridge???

Re: les pauls with tremolo's, floyd roses and weird crap

I don't have a good pic yet, but I just finished restoring my '89 Studio lite LP with a floyd. It's weird. It's got a thin body, almost as thin as an SG. Other than that the body is standard LP: mahogany back and neck with the carved maple top. It has only one volume and one tone plus a coil splitter.

It's black and it came with black hardware and EMG looking passive p'ups. It was pretty ugly. I put on all new chrome hardware, a new chorme original Floyd Rose, speed knobs and new 498T/490R p'ups w/ chrome covers. It looks pretty sweet and sounds/plays like a dream. I'm definitely suprised at how well the Floyd sustaines and how well it stays in tune. I'm having trouble putting it down.

Floyd Rose + LP = the devil!

The tune-o-matic + stop tailpiece is one of the biggest reasons I've stuck with LPs.

The Les Trem Tremolo units from the late '70's. No routing or locking nut if I remember correctly.

I think Stew Mac still sells them.

(Thank God!)

Just got off the phone with John at Gibson.

List price is $5292, so they should be on the street for $3,600 or so....

My 84 with stock Gibson (Kahler licensed) vibrola

This guitar sustains well. Who knows if it would have been better without it.
I removed the trem to clean it recently and it was as heavy as a brick, so it's got a LOT of mass.

That is very nice.

I believe my '89 Floyd equipped LP Studio Lite sustains as well or possibly better than any LP I've ever owned. It is very much a "Player's Les Paul."
