Re: my reliced epiphone les paul

There were some guys on a Youtube video that used a grinder to relic an LP.

What exactly were you going for? I've never seen a vintage one look like that--not even a punk rocker.

when you're doing relic you're adding years. The neck and head are still like new

I noticed that too. What better guitar beat all to hell? I honestly think it looks pretty bad (I reworded that). I really don't mean any disrespect but like B said, it looks nothing like a guitar thats been gigged for 20 years (and that's what a relic should look like). It looks like a guitar that you did "that" to. The good news is, it's not real and you can repaint it and start over.

I didn't try to fake an vintage stuff. My axe has to be unique as possible.

the nut is ok! now i noticed it looks strange on the pic, but its all right. Anyway its not a stock one - luthier mounted Graphtec. A standard size!

I dont agree that it's a fake. That axe has 20 years and sounds better than most of epiphones... (again, its an opinion of the luthier too)

I'll agree its pretty unique!!! I wouldn't do that to mine but I guess it will help you identify it if its ever stolen! We all have different tastes.

Re: my reliced epiphone les paul

uncomplete bridge? anyway i must replace the bridge because saddles are strongly worn [by strings' moves]. It's aged but i wont do it with the new one(it can cause mechanical problems)- I will dull it and it'll be enough.

not seeing relic, more like trashed. But it's your guitar and your tastes so if you like it that's all that matters.

You should see how worn Kerry King's guitars are, at the end of a tour!

Re: my reliced epiphone les paul

It's all personal taste really, although I've seen some old Gibsons and never one that was worn like that!

Either way, she's yours, however you want her is good!
