switch questions

is the standard LP 3-way toggle switch the same as an on/on/on (dpdt) switch?

im asking b/c im using a mini switch for a kill switch and im thinking of putting in an on/on/on switch instead of the usual toggle so it would match a bit better.

It really depends on the switch. If it is one hot lug and two circuit lugs then yes, its the same. But if its one hot lug and THREE circuit lugs, then no, it's not the same and it wont work.

My suggestion is take your multimeter and set it to coninuity, then test the switch at each position to see what contacts it estabilishes.
