cut wood with scalpel (rosewood) until you reach mahogany on neck. clear the wood in the middle of the frets. then you can use your file for iron to trim frets to be wide as wood you cut with blade after that glue the binding and shape it with scalpel or razor blade, sanding paper or small files.

don't forget to use some tape to protect rest of guitar when you will cut with blade

you can PM if you want any other details
thanks for the info,great work....

Schneider Gramil - Information and Pricing at LMI Here is a link to my gramil(also known as binding/purfling cutter)- the only real difference is that mine is all metal. It is an old but efficient tool for binding. Awhile back I bought 50 throwaway scalpels-I'm not kidding, or exaggerating, my chisels and pocket knives are sharper-but, they are still handy.Ole'Lefty

Vidim, radi se sve u 16! Nažalost od onog Epiphone makeovera ništa, bio je nekvalitetan. Nadam se brzoj budućoj suradnji, a do tada lijepi pozdrav i hrabro naprijed.

Re: Extreme makeover

Amazing job, looks first class! After making a few guitars from nothing but shaped wood I understand how much time and effort is needed. Amazing results! Bloody BRILLIANT!

Hey, I don't suppose that you can explain exactly how you routed out the wood on the studio for the body binding? And did you need to remove all the finish to bind it or just where the binding would be?
