Wiring Questions

Okay, so I'm wiring up my tele and installed a new cap.

The ground came off, no biggie, I just solder it back on. Install the new cap, everything looks okay, plug her in to test her and...

nothing.

I wondering since the solder claims to be "non-conductive" do I need to make sure to clean the old solder off the pots really well when I solder the cap and ground back on?

i would really like to get this guy working before the weekend and I have some spare time.

Should I just tear everything out and rewire it?

Re: Wiring Questions

-what- ground came off of -what-? Was it a ground wire that came off of a pot, etc? Sounds like you have a bad solder joint somewhere. Usual suspect is something wired to the back of a pot, because it's tough to get it hot enough for a good solder joint.
Give us a little more detail, we can help you out...

Re: Wiring Questions

ground came off the pot, but its no biggie, I called up a luthier and he's gonna rewire it for me using all new electronics (this is a cheap tele styled guitar so new stuff is good!)

So nevermind, thanks though.
