Wiring in New Pickups

Well, I just received the Guitarforce Rebel I PAF set, with four conductor wire. I initially planned to get the pickups installed by a guitar tech, but some stuff popped up, meaning I would have to wait until the weekend. Being the impatient person I am, I figured I would try it myself, I took my old Epiphone Les Paul and practiced taking out the pickups and putting them back in, and I had no troubles. But once it came to my Gibson I became confused, the Seymour Duncan wire diagram I had printed off made sense for my Epiphone, but not my Gibson, I think it has to do with the RS Guitarworks wiring kit I installed a while back. So I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to wire in the 4 conductor (as a 2 wire) or give me a diagram (that works with the RS way, which I assume is '50's style). (sorry for my ignorance, I don't know a whole lot about electronics, just how to follow a diagram).

Re: Wiring in New Pickups

Two of the four conductors should be soldered together and insulated; I've found that heat shrink works well. The other two serve as the + and - leads for the pickup, just like any two conductor pickup. Not sure what the color scheme is for the four conductors, but it probably corresponds to Seymour Duncan or one of the big manufacturers. I would call or e-mail Guitarforce to see what they recommend.

Re: Wiring in New Pickups

EDIT: Took it to a tech, we talked about wiring options, he's going to put in a master volume, and leave the spare knob to turn a coil split on and off in the bridge position.
