Could he take some kind of measurements to determine proper fit before cutting or routing?
I'd like to know myself for future projects.

Re: My Tele Project - Graphic Heavy

I LIKE THAT A LOT!

It makes me want to get a 72' Re-Issue neck for my Tele But man... The neck on my Highway-One is sweet. I don't think I could ever do that!

Although, as much as I love the look of the big head-stocks, I have grown to love the little Fender headstock as well.

Measurement from the front edge of the nut to the 12th fret should be the same as the measurement from the 12th fret to the bridge saddle (with travel room for proper intonation).

I've never put a strat neck on a tele body before, but I understand what Greg is saying here ... you may have to reshape the bottom of the neck pocket in order to bring that guitar to proper scale.

I pointed this out from the very beginning and folks just started posting pictures of tele's with strat necks saying "it can be done".
Well, yeah ... it can be done BUT it's going to take a little bit of work.

I had to do something similar with this EVH hybrid guitar I built ...

using my very intellectual "string" measuring tool, It looks okay. I'll have to grab a tape measure tonight and check for certain, but I think I am okay as is.

Yeah, next build will probably not be a relic, but I really wanted, I don't think I can express how badly, a beat up Telecaster. I like the ones with no flaws an all, but there's just something about a telecaster that looks like it's been through hell and back and still playing (same with a lester).

And thats what mine looks like!

Course... its not still playing, atm.

When you are quoting me, make sure you get my name spelled correctly. I have noticed you have some difficulties in that regard.
