gibson custom shop?

im thinking about having a prs built for me, but my first love has always been les pauls and even though i suck at playing guitar i still would love either a prs or les paul custom made for me. i had read on the gibson forums that they will begin making one off custom guitars again, and for some reason i really want 3 humbuckers and a floyd rose (becuase im retarded and like making all kinds of noises, just look at the pedals in my sig). does anyone here have any experience with this or know anything about the experience of ordering a custom made guitar from gibsons custom shop?

those kind of Custom shop orders will cost you at least twice the price of a new R9...

I did, expensive and a long wait. Gibson that is. Worth it I thought.

I was considering having a new Traditional made through the Custom Shop because I wanted a finish not currently available for the Traditionals.
My dealer told me at least a 6 month wait but most likely a 1 year wait.

For what I would pay extra for this special order I would be better off just skipping the Traditional and getting a Custom in the finish I want through the Custom Shop. I'm fairly sure you will wait as long for a PRS Custom build as well.

Prolly be better off gettin one and having hm or who ever refin it. Others may chime in on this, kill two birds with one stone, from the sounds of it they do this sort of thing and you'll end up with a better finish, more unique also.

Just thinking... down the road kind of thing, maybe for the big 45 or 50?
We'll see how I make out settlement wise after this little surgical repair I had done Friday... maybe some real Vintage may be in future??

Now you're talking....... Nothing more I'd like than a wide flame brockburst w/nickel and creme plastic. I've considered asking the CS to make me one like the one in the BOTB book but I'm guessing it would be well over 10k IF they would even do it.

Id actually like to get one just like the one you came up with but in Darkburst/Tabacco Burst with nice flames. I remember seeing a Tabacco Burst with badass flames LP Custom on Ebay a while back.....didnt have the cash at the moment. But Im more than happy with my Triburst 68

Guys...I know they dont say Gibson on the headstock but Mcnaught singlecuts are incredible guitars and should be given real consideration by us LP lovers. Incredible boutique handmade guitars made one at a time and they wont cost you your left nut.

I just spec'd out a badass LP type quilt top with a custom color and a brazzy board....the price came to just under $4500. That is amazing considering what new R9's go for.

However they do have a more modern type of look and the headstocks might not be everyones cup of tea....but still, check them out LP lovers....Theyre badass!!! Im definitely ordering one soon.
