Re: first time bigsby instalation. i need tips!!!

Install it where the strap button is - but - don't install it 100% straight. The bass side is like 1/32" higher for intonation.

Look here and check out various models with Bigsbys. See how they're all ever so crooked?

You should have gotten a B-30.
Bigsbys come with clear instructions.
If a truck driver can do it, then surely a guitar modding champ like you can handle it with ease, if you can read!
Ask lespaulowner68, if you can find him. I am sure he has some opinions on the subject.

You may have to drill a new bottom strap button hole. I had to on the one pictured, and every other one I have installed also. It DOES need to be centered, so the Bigsby will be in line with the bridge. The end plate of the Bigsby will cover any extra holes that need to be drilled.

Re: first time bigsby instalation. i need tips!!!

I'm also looking to get a Bigsby...

Which is better?
B7 or B30?

And also, do the stopbar screws come out easily?

The one in the photo of my goldtop is a B30, which is an imported version of the B3. Note there are no screws in the top of the guitar. Only one screw, the strap button screw, holds the device to the guitar. String tension holds it down against the top.

Stop bar screws are easily removed with your fingers, unless someone has screwed them down extremely tight against the body. In that case, a large screwdriver will loosen them. Be careful of the finish!

Dennis i like that B30! Not only will it come off but it looks to me that it doesn't have the harsh string angle associated with the B7. Or maybe its just the pics.
Do you have any issues with it sliding around on the body?

No issues with movement. It is steady as a rock.
I think I might have one, if you are interested.
I will have to look around.

Yes. It is a DiMarzio humucker in a P-90 size body.

How dang smart does one need to be? What's wrong with working at a fast-food place, or pumping gas, or throwing trash?
GET AN EDUCATION! There will be more guitars when you are all smartened up.
