Gibson Custom Shop Potentiometers
Hi all,
I may be overlooking a post, but I'm a new LP enthusiast looking to get more info on the RI specs. I was just wondering if someone could tell me the specs of the pots that Gibson Custom uses on their RI's; are they long shaft/short shaft and where exactly could I get something along the lines of those pots? Any comments would be greatly appreciated. |

Re: Gibson Custom Shop Potentiometers
The Historics LPs have 500K short-shaft pots.
I replaced all of mine with a kit from RS Guitarworks rsguitarworks.net - Home -- they are great pots, and really opened the voice of my R7 and R9. I got the Superpots for volume, CTS pots for tone. I also replaced the Gibby caps (crap, IMHO) with Luxe Bumblebee Repros. Hope that helps! BB
