Artificial or natural I could care less, that is an amazing job you've done to that guitar. Some relic jobs IMO go way overboard, but that looks very natural and adds character to the guitar. Sweet!

Re: First stages of aging my R8

Just awsome

Man, you're doing a great job there...

Do you have an idea about how many time you've been workin' on it ??

Doesnt it hurt too much when you started "scratchin" it ??

Wow! That is awesome man. I just removed the pick-guard on my Washburn last night and it is way lighter in comparison to the entire body. I like it. Adds character. Your LP looks amazing!

Man what a beauty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! how long did you tan her for? or did you use any other methods to get that colour scheme?

The patina is beautiful as well. Thats the one detail I'm still trying to figure out with no success.

Congratz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I appreciate your vision for that guitar but looking at that hardware makes me want to grab a rag and start wiping it down.

Re: First stages of aging my R8

In that thread you mentioned that the "paint" you used actually faded in the sunlight... I was curious to know if you changed the mixture or did you just reapply it again?

Durable or does it wipe off?

Once applied it cant be whipped off, only faded off.

I did apply it 4 times or so to get that new look and the faded it a little.

Note: I am red green color blind, and it well could be a trick of the light or computer monitor color matching stuff, but, um, does that look green in real life?
