I love how they put the originals then removed them for the Grovers.

Even if I could afford one, I'd probably hate the tiny little neck those things have.

It is a looker though. Congrats!

Re: Jimmy Page Custom Appreciation Thread

Hands down the Jimmy Page Custom Authentic is the BEST and Nicest playing LP I have ever owned and played!!!

The neck being so thin was a weird thing at first, but I got used to it faster than I ever got used to a Baseball bat neck... it really feels just right!

Re: Jimmy Page Custom Appreciation Thread

I agree totally on the Page #1 signature. There is something about the guitar that makes me feel great every time I pick it up. Gibson just nailed it - or maybe Page nailed it after buying it from Joe Walsh. If Page, a master of rock and blues licks, refined it over the decades and Gibson faithfully reproduced it, it's not just any Les Paul Standard - it's an evolved Les Paul Standard. I can't say the same thing about the 2008 JP Custom. It's a great sounding LP with lots of versatility but it just doesn't have the mojo of the #1.
