Re: Bone Guitar!

I meant everything in the design to be like a normal guitar, using large enough bones that could be shaved and cut into the shape of a LES PAUL!

Not that we hate your ideas, but why? I just don't get the point of using bone. I guess it could be an interesting conversation peice.

Re: Bone Guitar!

I think the Whale bone would be your best-bet size wise.
Take a trip to Dana Point Ca. find a construction site, and scan
any area they are moving dirt. They find entire whale skeletons there
all the time. good luck, and dont forget your shovel.

Re: Bone Guitar!

Better start hunting an animal with large enough bones. Or rob a museum.

Well, Think it sound different, not as warm as mahogany...maybe even sound "dead"
Seriously if it's what you want then just go for it.
I just hacked out my neck blank for my LP clone tonight, can't wait to start carving.

Imagine the smell when you shape the neck. It will smell like a busy dentist's office.
