Marrying an epi 25.5 nighthawk neck to a warmoth LP body
To my eternal shame, I've always played better on nighthawks than les pauls.
Don't know why... the 25.5 neck and back shape of the nighthawk just feels better to me and my hand is a lot more comfortable on the bridge. I'm not a fan of the slant/mini nighthawk pickups though, I just want neck/bridge double coil pickups. Got my hands on a mint Epiphone nighthawk, to my surprise the neck is bolt on so I can throw it on another body but of course not a typical 24.75 les paul body. I was having a look at Warmoth and see 25.5 LP bodies with an option for fender style saddles in the bridge. Was thinking of just adding the nighthawk neck to one of those bodies and praying for reasonable results. Anyone have any experience with the warmoth lp bodies? Thanks. |
