Engraving the Truss Rod - Tip

Hi guys, I want to Engrave my Truss Rod with the name Esė (yes, JUST like that, but in Script Cursive). Now I want to use the original Truss Rod, this is a 2005 Standard Les Paul, and was informed it wouldn't work as the black is too thick. This true? If so you think this guy would be good: Custom Inlay - Product Catalog

Order a historic TRC, they work just fine.

Okay but do not use the Standard one, correct? I will just buy them from that website, seems good

I've used Custom Inlay for all of my engraved covers and they've been great to deal with. Their prices are nice $12.50 for a Gibson cover (includes the engraving). Here's a couple of examples of what I got from them:
