Some times you just gotta... U2oob
Been practicing a lot of jazz lately on the Gold Top and it is strung up with flatwounds and is really working well. But sometimes I just need to blow the cobwebs out! So I picked up a Custom off Craigslist for a bargin (thread in other forum) and here I am on a sunday night getting ready for Monday morning!!

Another "hisser and spitter"!
![]() That's great. Not a cobweb in sight. The talent around this place has me pretty much floored.

I was groovin' along until about 1:30... If there were any cobwebs left, you scorched them right there! Fantastic video!

Re: Some times you just gotta... U2oob
River-I will do it man!!
Thanks again everybody, I have to admit I too am digging this one! I usually don’t like to listen to myself much but, when I sit back and listen to myself on this one, it is pretty close to what I wanted to sound like 20 years ago!! Funny side story, I shared this video with my wife. She said, “Hey is that your new guitar?” I said “yeah,” and she says, “that sounds good! It doesn’t sound neutered.” I said “what!!” She says “you know, it sounds like it has a pair!” ![]() ![]() Now my wife of 24 years has never described the sound of a guitar in terms of whether or not testicles were present!!! I think we are making progress!! She still did not let me put it in bed with us…maybe another 24 years!!
