Kiefer Sutherland LP's Collection

Something I didn't know and thought I'd share here....

The star of the television show "24" Kiefer Sutherland is an avid player and collector. The reputable "Jack Bauer" not only enjoys his playing, but is also an owner of a recording studio in Los Angeles.

Re: Kiefer Sutherland LP's Collection

He actually owns a smallish record label, called Ironworks.

He used to be manager for Rocco DeLuca and the Burden. But they fired him.

His R7 was posted for sale here a while back, in the members classifieds (by the luthier who was handling the sale for him). Pix were from that room which is how it got figured out.

Re: Kiefer Sutherland LP's Collection

Yeah, I hear he is a great player and actually his real passion has always been music. He basically lives in the studio that he owns and really lives for music.

I hear hes a nice guy too!

Anyone who is a cool vampire from The Lost Boys is ok by me!

He reportedly has an original 59 too. I wonder if that's what he is holding.

Re: Kiefer Sutherland LP's Collection

If I had his money I would probably have some richs and a few fenders as well, but it could just be his gibson portion of his guitar collection..lol

Re: Kiefer Sutherland LP's Collection

Seems like a bad addiction to me....all those expensive guitars and no money left for shoes.

I do recall that Classified post a while back. There were a lot of people trying to figure out who the actual 'famous person' owner was. I guess I never saw the result, but when I saw the post about it in this thread I recalled that room.

I wonder what amps he has.

Re: Kiefer Sutherland LP's Collection

How did anyone figure out it was him? And why did he sell it? Its not as if he could sell it on craigs or ebay or whatever. Especially when it wasnt like anything super special.

Im not being cynical just curious to the story

Re: Kiefer Sutherland LP's Collection

VERY sweet collection. It's good to know that he actually has those guitars because he likes music, not making money off of them. But he still doesn't deserve a signature model

The pix were right out of that room. Also, the individual who listed it let the cat half way out the bag saying it was a celebrity's guitar for sale, which was why he was handling it for him. Given the person who listed it here, it's no surprise.

There was also a seller on ebay that had 2 of his guitars. One was a Studio, the other was an R9.

The Studio:
1990 GIBSON LES PAUL STUDIO IN ORIGINAL VOS CONDITION! - eBay (item 180445229218 end time Dec-20-09 13:54:35 PST)

And the R9:
1994 GIBSON LES PAUL R9 MURPHY ERA-THE BEST!! - eBay (item 180445231356 end time Dec-13-09 16:55:10 PST)

He has several others from Jack Bauer's collection:

Re: Kiefer Sutherland LP's Collection

My band was playing a club gig in Jackson, MS in the mid 90s. This guy comes up to the stage and asks to sit it. The bass player turned to me all bug-eyed and said, "Holy cow, look who's on stage with us!."

I stared at this really short guy for about a minute before I realized it was Keifer Sutherland. He was in town filming "A Time To Kill" and were out barhopping. We did a very forgettable rendition of "Knockin' on Heaven's Door" then he and his posse vanished as quickly as they had appeared.

My wife was pissed because she's a huge Keifer fan and had decided to stay home that night. That'll teach her to miss a Hot Mops gig
