I love country songs as the total package, so much emotion in that genre... and they have some of the best voices ever.

Yeah, a nice song, and I too are not a lover of Country & Western, BUT, I used to be very much into country rock, bands like:

Grateful Dead
New Riders of The Purple Sage (saw them live)
Pure Prairie League
Ozark Mountain Daredevils
Commander Cody and his Lost Planet Airmen
Flying Bruttio Brothers (not sure about that spelling)
The Outlaws

To name a few, anybody else?

I am a fan of country. I like mostly the old time greats. The genre can really express some sadness.
