Feedback please
This is only the third video I have ever posted online. I usually don't like to play in front of people, just because I'm shy I guess. I know I'm not the best player, far from it to be exact, but it makes me happy so that's all that counts. And I'm really not that great with a slide. Anyways, I was noodling around in Open D on my Agile and recorded this short little thing. Tell me how you think it sounds. What can I improve on? What can I do better on my playing style? I know the quality isn't the greatest, but it's all I got. Thanks in advance!

Re: Feedback please
Nice slide. Very smooth in your technique. Nice tone too. Well done my friend!

Re: Feedback please
Thanks for the kind words guys! I really wasn't expecting much positive feedback. Maybe I'll put up a couple more videos when I get a chance.

Re: Feedback please
we've all seen worse vids posted here, feel free to post more. i could use a few lessons myself to get that good. i tend to avoid practicing slide because i can't get it to sound decent

Re: Feedback please
I'm sure there's been some worse videos. I was watching some videos from a certain forum member today and I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I've never had a lesson, I've just taught myself. I've been messing around with slides for four years now and I'm still nowhere close to being really good at it. It takes a lot of technique and you really have to relearn the fretboard if you use open tunings. Just within the last couple months has my slide playing started to sound semi-decent. The more you mess with it, the better you get. One tip I can give you, is you can't hold your hand still. If you want to hold a note (or multiple notes) with a slide, you have to keep it moving to get it to sound right.

Re: Feedback please
good job, keep it up....I do not play slide so, I do not have any pointers .....I did learn while I spent about a month playing slide and gave up as soon asap (I only did slide because I had stiches in one of my fingers), was that it is all about choking the notes that are ringing out...too much work for me....peace

Re: Feedback please
Very, very nice. Into Ry Cooder territory. I play slide & not all slide is about sounding like Duane A. You've got the swampy, haunting side of slide. Keep it up.

Re: Feedback please
Well done, Sir. Nice to put a face to the name too. Is that a glass slide or metal?
