i rarely jag on a band, but once in a while when i find a new song i really like, i'll jag on that song. all freaking day. or maybe for three days. and when i finally tire of it i don't listen to it for a month lol.

Im pretty sure most of us do this from time to time, but then burnout occurs. I usually just have a bunch of ZEP loaded up all the time, Im always refering to Jimmy's style when writing my own stuff. Like I've always said Im stuck in the 70s, now I do listen to alot of stuff, when I wanna get real creative I always turn to Mike Oldfield tracks totally different stuff than the norm. But it seems Im always finding new things in the old Zep stuff even after all these yrs.

Very often. Recovering from a very severe Faces addiction, who knows what's next. I'm guessing Jeff Beck or George Benson for some reason, but it might even be Aerosmith now you've mentioned them.

Ok, call me un-hip, but I never heard the term "JAG".

Re: Have you ever gone on a music JAG

1. a period of unrestrained indulgence in an activity; spree; binge: a crying jag; a talking jag.

I went on a Led Zeppelin jag about a month ago, specifically, the tune "10 Years Gone". Is it just me or is that one of the most phenomenal guitar solos ever written, the whole song actually.

I also went on a Free jag recently. My friend ruined it when he criticized me for living in the past.

I learned to be a good leader was to become a good follower
some of the best musicians are the biggest fans of bands

Ive probably worked on that song longer than any other Zep tune and have never been able to get the right feel for it.

Such a what I call watery sound.

absolutely. I've been meaning to start a thread about it. Do you know if that's his LP in the solo? What he's using for the chord progression? Just an amazing, amazing song.
