Check this SRV with Les Paul Tone R8!!
Wow, this R8 has the blues sound that almost has a strat quality. Take a listen. Stock Burstbuckers.

Its crazy, but i have heard a few Les Pauls get
a great Strat "neck" pickup sound, must be the combination of the guitar wood and pickup and the right settings on the amp

These stock Burstbucker pickups are the closest I've gotten to a single coil sound with a Les Paul. I never thought I'd ever say that I am happy with stock BB's.

do you have the BB 1's ?? I can never get that song to flow. i have it on my sound clip below if you want to check it out. I used a clean channell though What are you using for the 2nd set of sliding chords?? I ear tab and am a bit stumped on those 2 chords. im using a minor triad 8th to 6th fret back and forth Thanks |

Yes I have the BB 1 in the neck, and BB 2 in the brdge. On the slides, I'm just sliding the top three notes of the 9 chord up a step and back down. Hope the helps, I'm not good at explaining.
