Re: Which Album/CD have you recently listened and had forgotten it was THAT GOOD?
I also love "live" albums more than studio stuff.... but for this thread the ones that spring to my mind are:
Allman Brothers Band At Fillmore East Van Halen 2 Led Zeppelin 3 & 4 Govt Mule live at Roseland Ballroom. Concert for Bangla Desh (DVD) Concert for George (DVD) Mad Dogs & Englishmen (DVD) The Last Waltz The Band (DVD) Van Halen Live Without A Net (DVD) Anything by AC/DC that has Bon singing...... Cheers Brian Just a few......

Dream Theater. Falling Into Infinity. Their most underrated album...

Re: Which Album/CD have you recently listened and had forgotten it was THAT GOOD?
Probably not the same grain as most of you guys, but from my "alternative" days:
Belly - "Star" They won a Grammy for this record. It's still one of my favorites of all time. Sad that their second record didn't do so well and the band broke up shortly after. Tanya Donelly's voice does funny things to me. REM - "Automatic For The People" Few records, short of some "concept" albums, can hold my attention from start to finish like this one. |

Weezer- Pinkerton
More raw than the Blue album, but completely rock through and through. Great tones in there too! |

I'll keep it short. Abbey Road. It was being played on a local station, I picked up at Sun King, and kept on listening through till The End. Amazing. Wow.

The whole damned Smithereens catalog. Especially For you/Green Thoughts/11 were really great. The Everclear record with Santa Monica remains a fave.

Ok, first for the more Traditional one
And For Something in a slightly different class, the new album from Seether. Got it the day it came out, loved it. Listened to it the other day through Hi Def Earphones, believed I have listened to the whole album front to back at least a dozen times in the last 3 days.

But right now I am hooked on the Black Keys 2nd album Thickfreakness, that album is awesome. Set You Free is a bit Hendrix sounding, love it.
