Yeah, I was gonna suggest this exact same thing - Genesis 'aren't cool' to a lot of people - especially when i suggested home by the sea as a cover for my band to do!!

The Wildhearts did a great version of the Cheers theme...
They also have a cd of cover songs out, they went with some more obscure bands/songs that some people may not have heard of. Here's their version of Understanding Jane from The Icicle Works:
