i was just wondering if any of you can send me some backing tracks that i can try to work with for making sound clips when i get the guitar

Midnight, not sure what kind of music you are into but here is a David Gilmour tribute site I like a lot. There are several Pink Floyd and Gilmour backing tracks here:

Gilmourish » Backingtracks : Pro

Also, here are some other tracks that are good for practicing to:

Backing tracks for guitar & Free guitar lessons

Bluesblast.com/Jam Tracks 2004

These are midi files but still great to practice along with, they include some tab:

Thanks, I've been a member of his site for a while. There is some fantastic insight to Gilmour's rig, tone and other nuggets on there. You can also submit your own backing tracks to Bjorn to be used on his site. I've thought about doing one or two myself but have never gotten around to it.
