Johnny Winter

Who can recommend me some good studio stuff by Johnny Winter? I never paid much attention to him while growing up. I was into Aerosmith, Kiss, Bad Co. Zep, Floyd, in the 70's Then I was playing hair metal in the 80's then the classic rock thing from the 90's until a few years ago. But, only started digging Johnny recently when I bought my 2nd Firebird.

So what are your recommendations?

Thanks,

Ed

Re: Johnny Winter

His entire 1969 Woodstock show is available on disk - called Johnny Winter, the Woodstock Experience. At the time he was just becoming known. His performance is (was) flat-out kick-ass. The quality of the CDs sound is good. I highly recommend it.

Also, check out JWs the Progressive Blues Experiment.
