Hideaway - (Bluesbreakers)My take/cover

Hey guys!

So yesterday I decided to do a little fun recording of me playing some BluesBreakers with Clapton with my girlfriend's new camera!

Here it is, hope you guys dig it! It's a very rough take! I took the time to learn some of the major parts but improvised through most of it.

Guitar: 2001 Gibson Les Paul Classic w/ WolfeTone Dr. Vintage pickups (A4 in bridge, A3 in neck) + Jonesy 50's wiring

Amp: Fender Hot Rod Deville 212 w/ ReyesAudio Power Soaker attenuator

And a "sound check" test featuring just the amp and guitar

planks, CheopisIV, jcsk8 and 4 others like this.

Darn, that was good. I put my attempt at on Youtube a few months back and have been working towards an improved effort, but after that I'm not so sure.

Very cool hair, great playing, great sound and vibrato. You rock, sire!

Dude, nice playing and nice sound !!!
I have an odd question, <i didnt see this till i watched the soundcheck>
On the wall behind you, is that a calender? that the page keeps blowing up on? And 2ndly, whats making it blow up? window open ? oscilating fan? or the air from the back of the amp? If the amp was doin it from bein' cranked, the video is even more awesome lol.

Thanks Electroman! Appreciated!
For your first question: Yes it is a calender, every day has a different guitar on it
And second: Unfortunately that was just an oscillating fan! If it was the amp that would have been pushing some serious air!

Again, thanks Electroman!

Re: Hideaway - (Bluesbreakers)My take/cover

Cool playing man, commend you on the tone, pretty spot on. Just watch your timing a bit, sometimes you're a bit too far ahead of the beat. Try hit that groove just right. Some bends are off but that happens.

Hey rambler thanks man, appreciate it.

I agree with that, going back and listening to it a bit more there are parts where I go too fast. As I mentioned it's a very rough take - I played along to it twice before recording this and that was that - but it was fun!

Again thanks for checking it out rambler, and I appreciate the insight
